Family....

So, the picture's are of my niece and nephew, Laura and Ciaran, who have me wrapped around their little fingers, I must admit!!

I'm trying to get Ciaran to wear a proper jersey, like a Liverpool FC one!!

In the picture of Ciaran on his own, he is proudly showing off the badge in school last Friday for being a junior helper to the D.S.P.C.A. He loves animals and got a puppy for his birthday last September!

Nanny Knit's Knocker's!!

A Sussex granny has an unusual hobby to pass the time - knitting woollen breasts.

Audrey Horncastle gives her woolly boobs to daughter Rhona Emery, a community nurse, to help teach new mums to breast feed.

And the 84-year-old, from Woodingdean, near Brighton, has churned out more than 100 knitted breasts in little more than three years.

She said: "It only takes a few days to do one and then I pass it on to my daughter. It's a bit of fun. I enjoy the knitting and they are being put to good use.

"People give me a strange look when I tell them what I am knitting and it is unusual but they are fun to do."

Mrs Emery said: "I went to a breast feeding training course and was told about how these things are useful but that they were difficult to get because the pattern is hard to do.

"My mum is good at knitting so I gave her the pattern and she was able to do it. It has just built up from there."

Mrs Horncastle, who is only paid for the cost of materials, says she will carry on knitting as long as there's demand.

"I try to keep the basic fleshy tone but sometimes people ask if I can put in a bit of colour as well just to make things a bit different," she said.

Lego Obama takes the oath!!!

Legoland has stolen a march on the real world by creating an incredibly detailed model of Barack Obama's inauguration as US President.

The model version is already the main attraction at the California theme park - ahead of the highly anticipated real thing.

Lego master craftsmen created a model White House, motorcade, Mr Obama and his whole family - and even queues to the porta-loos.

More than 1,000 mini Lego people surround the construction, with onlookers including outgoing George W Bush and Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia are also depicted, standing proudly behind the president-elect as he takes the presidential oath of office on the steps of the Capitol.

Couple fall down hole in pavement!!!

A Chinese couple disappeared when a hole suddenly opened up in the pavement as they were taking a stroll.

The woman fell into a deep pit below Haiyan Street in Zhuhai but the man did not fall so far and managed to clamber out and call the police, reports Dayang Network.

Firefighters had to be called to rescue the woman when police officers realised the pit was at least 20 to 25ft deep and they couldn't even see her.

A crane was brought in to haul the woman out and had to be stationed a distance away because of the danger of more of the pavement collapsing.

Throughout the whole rescue mission, the man talked with his worried girlfriend on the phone to keep her spirits up.

She was finally lifted out after being buried in the hole for nearly two hours. Her boyfriend gave her a big hug, but she was still shivering and too frightened to speak.

Residents suspect the hole, which was less than a metre wide, was caused by ground collapse linked to nearby construction works.

Policeman ordered to drink his own urine!!!

Airport security staff ordered a retired policeman to drink his own urine sample to prove it was safe.

Yu Fahai, 58, was going through security at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, when he was challenged over a bottle of liquid in his pocket.

Yu, who received a kidney transplant several years ago, has to regularly test his urine for infection, reports News Morning.

"The checker asked me what was inside, and I told her it was my urine. She said: "Urine? Drink some to prove it"," said Yu at his home in Chibi, Hubei province.

Yu, who was taking his first ever flight after attending a TV awards ceremony in Shanghai, has now lodged a complaint against the airport.

An airport spokesman said the security guard mistakenly heard the word 'urine' as 'beverage', and claimed Yu had his boarding card in his mouth, making his pronunciation unclear.

The spokesman added that national regulations forbid passengers from taking liquids on flights but an exception was made for Mr Yu because of his medical history. He also apologised.

Now that's what you call taking the piss!!!!

Bamboozled brides!!!

Three couples got married on a river in China while balancing on bamboo poles.

The brides all wore traditional wedding dresses while the grooms wore suits for the stunt on the Xiangjiang River in Zunyi city, Guizhou province.

All three couples belong to the local single bamboo rafting club, and chose to get married on the water to show their skill at the sport, reports People Daily.

The sport involves racing on the river while balancing on a locally produced bamboo pole around 20cm in diameter.

"They can sit or stand on the piece of bamboo and they can race and compete at other tasks using a thin bamboo oar," explains a club spokesman.

The Zunyi city sporting office says it is trying to promote the new sport and hopes it will become popular across the city.

Katy Perry picked up wrong award!!!

Katy Perry was wrongly given one of the main awards at France's main music ceremony.

The singer collected the trophy for best international song at the NRJ Awards in Cannes, thinking she had won, reports the BBC.

But the award should have been given to Rihanna for Disturbia. Host Nikos Aliagas admitted the error at the end of the show.

Perry, who was among the international stars at the annual event, which was celebrating its 10th birthday, did legitimately scoop the best international album prize.

The winners at the ceremony - the French answer to the Grammys or the Brits - were voted for by listeners of radio station NRJ.
